Outfit and Make-Up of the Night!

Yello!

So this post is finally here! Sorry for the even longer delay, anyone who lives in England will know that we had a storm last week, which left me with no internet or power! Fun times! (It meant I could be all cosy with jumpers and candles) hehe!

A few weeks ago, I was going to my friends 18th, and I had such a lovely evening! I thought I would share with you my evening outfit and make-up! I kept my outfit quite simple, because sometimes I think simple can be more effective than something really accessorised and complicated, and it wasn't a formal event, but it was still an excuse to dress up!

So, I started of my evening having a lovely bath! Having the opportunity to pamper yourself and relax before an evening out makes it all so much better! So, I had a lovely hot and bubbly bath and used some lovely products!

The first two products I used in the bath was my Paul Mitchell original shampoo and conditioner. I got given these by my Grandma because she had bought them and didn't like it - but I love it! It has such a gorgeous smell like coconut, just divine! I don't know whether you can get these in high street shops or drugstores, she got them from her local salon. Anyway, so I used this to wash my hair and then used the conditioner. I always leave my conditioner on for ages, so whilst I had that on, I used some other lovely products!

So after sorting out my hair, I had my Soap & Glory fix. I can't have a bath without using any of their stuff, it's so addictive, and it just smells SO GOOD. After putting conditioner in my hair, I always then out the 'Scrub Your Nose In It' Soap and Glory face mask. It works so well on my face, and it feels and once again smells so nice. I don't know how long you are supposed to leave it on for, but I always leave it on till the end of my bath because it feels so nice. It might be weird but I love the way it makes your skin feel so tight and like you can't really move it. You can pick this up for about £9 in Boots (A UK drugstore.) They have changed the packaging now, I think it's white with turquoise writing? But, I really recommend this if you want a nice smooth and un-oily face. I have oily skin so using this really helps!

After this, I used their 'Flake Away' body scrub. I use this on my legs, because it helps take away the dry skin, and it also gives you a smoother shave. I also find this really good to use on my upper arms, because I have these spotty things, I don't really know what they are to be honest. They're not like a typical spot, but it's something to do with dairy and this scrub really helps to get rid of them! You can pick this up in Boots for £7.50.

I then used the Calvin Klein body wash, which also smells divine. I have their perfume and I kind of get addicted to it. I go through phases of just using it all the time. After I get out the bath, I use the Soap & Glory Daily Smooth Body Butter. It is so moisturising and also smells so divine, it leaves you all smooth. Another thing I love about it is that it doesn't leave you all sticky. I have a HATE of when you moisturise and it leaves you all sticky, and it means that if you get dressed all your clothes get stuck to you. You can pick up the body butter for about £9.00.

After I've done all of this, I start to sort out my hair. This normally takes me a while because I have thick hair. The conditioner works really well so it's all smooth and mostly untangled. I brush it through a few times and then use Tresemme Heat Defence Styling Spray. This works so well, I always use it before drying my hair, and it makes it shiny and protects it from the heat. You can grab this in Boots for £5.25.

After drying my hair, I then start on my face. (Sorry in advance this could sound like a reeeaaaalllly long process.) Before I do anything, I always use Clean & Clear or something similar, and them moisturise. This time, I used Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Cleanser. I love this, it feels so good and it makes sure your face is extra clean. After this, I moisturise, this time using Olay Beauty Fluid. I'm really loving this at the moment, it's really moisturising, which is good especially because winter is upon us! This makes my face feel so smooth and stretchy, just love!

After doing this, I can start on the make-up (one of the funnest bits!) So, I always start with my foundation. Lately I started using the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. OH MY GOD, new love. This foundation is so so good, it covers up so much, it's just amazing. It's got a slight shimmer to it, which I think makes me look more awake, which I certainly need! I just generally love it. The foundation brush I use is just a simple one from Superdrug, it works a treat though!

After my foundation, I use the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer. I live by this stuff, it's so so good. If I ever have a lazy day when someone's coming round but I don't want to do all of my make-up, I just use concealer, eyeliner and mascara. This concealer covers everything up, and it doesn't suffocate your skin. Result. You can pick this up for about £4.00 in Boots.

To settle my foundation and concealer, I use Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder. I know these come in different shades, I can't remember what shade mine is but this works really well. I'm not a big fan of the packaging, it's not very glamorous but the product itself works amazingly well! You can pick this up in Boots for £3.99.

After using this, I then use my Bronzer. I know this is Rimmel but I bought it so long ago the rest of it has rubbed off, so I can't remember what it's called. I really like the colour though, and the shimmer works really well with the foundation.

After my bronzer, I always use my blusher. I think it's really important to get my skin or base done first so I can judge what will work best with it, or what will look like too much etc. The blush I use is a 17 one, and once again I can't remember the name. It didn't cost too much, but does a nice job! Sweet!

So, once I have done my skin, or the base of my make-up, I then do my eyebrows. I like mine to be quite intense, but still quite a natural look, so I use a Collection pencil in Brown. This works really well and I love the look it gives, though I can't remember how much it was - sorry!

After this, I start on my eyes. For this, I used a Collection Work The Colour Pallet. I really love this trio, they all work so well together, and give such an understated glamorous look. I used this to create a smokey eye effect, and then added eyeliner to create a slightly bolder look. The eyeliner I used was a Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner. I really like this liner, and it works well over different shades. I use it and black and use it every day I wear make-up without fail.

After this, I finish my make-up by doing my eyelashes. To start with I curl them with a simple curler from boots. I then use my mascara which is Collection Extreme Mascara in black. I love this mascara, it works really well for me and gives me an effect I really like!!

This is the finished effect of my make-up! Although they aren't very flattering pictures, I still love the look!

I then did my hair, and I just curled it using my Babyliss Curling Wand. I love curling my hair, I don't know why, but I find it really theraputic. Once I curled it, I brushed it out, so it was looser and also thicker.

The top I wore was this burgundy one from New Look, and I paired them with my black Disco Pants and a pair of New Look heeled Chelsea boots!!

I hope you all enjoyed reading this, I certainly enjoyed writing it!!I'm gonna do an October fave's next, (hopefully next weekend!)

Lots of love,
