Outfit and Make-Up of the Night!

Yello!

So this post is finally here! Sorry for the even longer delay, anyone who lives in England will know that we had a storm last week, which left me with no internet or power! Fun times! (It meant I could be all cosy with jumpers and candles) hehe!

A few weeks ago, I was going to my friends 18th, and I had such a lovely evening! I thought I would share with you my evening outfit and make-up! I kept my outfit quite simple, because sometimes I think simple can be more effective than something really accessorised and complicated, and it wasn't a formal event, but it was still an excuse to dress up!

So, I started of my evening having a lovely bath! Having the opportunity to pamper yourself and relax before an evening out makes it all so much better! So, I had a lovely hot and bubbly bath and used some lovely products!

The first two products I used in the bath was my Paul Mitchell original shampoo and conditioner. I got given these by my Grandma because she had bought them and didn't like it - but I love it! It has such a gorgeous smell like coconut, just divine! I don't know whether you can get these in high street shops or drugstores, she got them from her local salon. Anyway, so I used this to wash my hair and then used the conditioner. I always leave my conditioner on for ages, so whilst I had that on, I used some other lovely products!

So after sorting out my hair, I had my Soap & Glory fix. I can't have a bath without using any of their stuff, it's so addictive, and it just smells SO GOOD. After putting conditioner in my hair, I always then out the 'Scrub Your Nose In It' Soap and Glory face mask. It works so well on my face, and it feels and once again smells so nice. I don't know how long you are supposed to leave it on for, but I always leave it on till the end of my bath because it feels so nice. It might be weird but I love the way it makes your skin feel so tight and like you can't really move it. You can pick this up for about £9 in Boots (A UK drugstore.) They have changed the packaging now, I think it's white with turquoise writing? But, I really recommend this if you want a nice smooth and un-oily face. I have oily skin so using this really helps!

After this, I used their 'Flake Away' body scrub. I use this on my legs, because it helps take away the dry skin, and it also gives you a smoother shave. I also find this really good to use on my upper arms, because I have these spotty things, I don't really know what they are to be honest. They're not like a typical spot, but it's something to do with dairy and this scrub really helps to get rid of them! You can pick this up in Boots for £7.50.

I then used the Calvin Klein body wash, which also smells divine. I have their perfume and I kind of get addicted to it. I go through phases of just using it all the time. After I get out the bath, I use the Soap & Glory Daily Smooth Body Butter. It is so moisturising and also smells so divine, it leaves you all smooth. Another thing I love about it is that it doesn't leave you all sticky. I have a HATE of when you moisturise and it leaves you all sticky, and it means that if you get dressed all your clothes get stuck to you. You can pick up the body butter for about £9.00.

After I've done all of this, I start to sort out my hair. This normally takes me a while because I have thick hair. The conditioner works really well so it's all smooth and mostly untangled. I brush it through a few times and then use Tresemme Heat Defence Styling Spray. This works so well, I always use it before drying my hair, and it makes it shiny and protects it from the heat. You can grab this in Boots for £5.25.

After drying my hair, I then start on my face. (Sorry in advance this could sound like a reeeaaaalllly long process.) Before I do anything, I always use Clean & Clear or something similar, and them moisturise. This time, I used Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Cleanser. I love this, it feels so good and it makes sure your face is extra clean. After this, I moisturise, this time using Olay Beauty Fluid. I'm really loving this at the moment, it's really moisturising, which is good especially because winter is upon us! This makes my face feel so smooth and stretchy, just love!

After doing this, I can start on the make-up (one of the funnest bits!) So, I always start with my foundation. Lately I started using the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. OH MY GOD, new love. This foundation is so so good, it covers up so much, it's just amazing. It's got a slight shimmer to it, which I think makes me look more awake, which I certainly need! I just generally love it. The foundation brush I use is just a simple one from Superdrug, it works a treat though!

After my foundation, I use the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer. I live by this stuff, it's so so good. If I ever have a lazy day when someone's coming round but I don't want to do all of my make-up, I just use concealer, eyeliner and mascara. This concealer covers everything up, and it doesn't suffocate your skin. Result. You can pick this up for about £4.00 in Boots.

To settle my foundation and concealer, I use Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder. I know these come in different shades, I can't remember what shade mine is but this works really well. I'm not a big fan of the packaging, it's not very glamorous but the product itself works amazingly well! You can pick this up in Boots for £3.99.

After using this, I then use my Bronzer. I know this is Rimmel but I bought it so long ago the rest of it has rubbed off, so I can't remember what it's called. I really like the colour though, and the shimmer works really well with the foundation.

Rimmel Bronzer
After my bronzer, I always use my blusher. I think it's really important to get my skin or base done first so I can judge what will work best with it, or what will look like too much etc. The blush I use is a 17 one, and once again I can't remember the name. It didn't cost too much, but does a nice job! Sweet!

So, once I have done my skin, or the base of my make-up, I then do my eyebrows. I like mine to be quite intense, but still quite a natural look, so I use a Collection pencil in Brown. This works really well and I love the look it gives, though I can't remember how much it was - sorry!

Collection Pencil in Brown
After this, I start on my eyes. For this, I used a Collection Work The Colour Pallet. I really love this trio, they all work so well together, and give such an understated glamorous look. I used this to create a smokey eye effect, and then added eyeliner to create a slightly bolder look. The eyeliner I used was a Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner. I really like this liner, and it works well over different shades. I use it and black and use it every day I wear make-up without fail.

After this, I finish my make-up by doing my eyelashes. To start with I curl them with a simple curler from boots. I then use my mascara which is Collection Extreme Mascara in black. I love this mascara, it works really well for me and gives me an effect I really like!!

This is the finished effect of my make-up! Although they aren't very flattering pictures, I still love the look!

I then did my hair, and I just curled it using my Babyliss Curling Wand. I love curling my hair, I don't know why, but I find it really theraputic. Once I curled it, I brushed it out, so it was looser and also thicker.

The top I wore was this burgundy one from New Look, and I paired them with my black Disco Pants and a pair of New Look heeled Chelsea boots!!

I hope you all enjoyed reading this, I certainly enjoyed writing it!!I'm gonna do an October fave's next, (hopefully next weekend!)

Lots of love,

Once Again I'm Sorry!

Yello!

It's been a while hasn't it? Once again I am so so sorry for being absent from this part of my life!

I've had 'hand in' week at College, which means that ALL of my work has to be in. It's been very busy and I've had really long days and nights. As in, I've been getting up at 6 and not going to bed until 1 the next morning! However, during this busy busy period, I have also been songwriting lots and lots, meaning that very soon, I will be going into the studio to record!

This means that I will soon be sharing my creativeness and another section of my life with you - how exciting!

I have also had a few nights of networking and going out, so tomorrow I am going to upload a kind of 'Get Ready With Me/Outfit and Make-up Of The Night' blog post.

Now my first big hand is in done at college, and a lot of my work is out of the way, Im really hoping I can spend more time writing stuff for you guys and really going through new products etc.

So once again, sorry for my absence :( I've been so tired and so tied up doing essays and songwriting.

Lots of love,

Lovely Day Out!!

Yello!

This is a bit of a spur of the moment blog post to be honest! I just feel like I have had such a lovely day, and I want to share some of it with you all!

I have Wednesdays off of college and although we are meant to use it for work (which I do a lot of the time) today, I didn't. I decided that it would be nice to go and see someone who is close to my heart!

I often find then when you have a day off from your normal routine, it is normally the small things that make a difference - or the personal things. I know that might sound a bit odd, but it's just what I prefer. So in my day today I have done lots of little things, and although not all of them benefit me, I just find it nice helping someone else, and I know it means a lot to them as well!

I had the most beautiful lunch in a little bakery/cafe at Ventnor on the Isle of Wight. I love to support the small local shops and businesses, especially when there are so many nice ones around. I think they can also feel so cosy and private, it's just lovely :)!

As well as having a gorgeous lunch, we also went for a lovely walk around the seafront and some of the little towns. I forgot how truly beautiful it all was - I so wish I had had my camera on me! It was quite cold which actually didn't bother me for once because it was so gorgeous. And I kind of love it when it gets to that time of year and you put on lots and lots of layers to go out for a really windy walk, and then you get to go home and be all cosy.

So, those are just two of the lovely things that made my lovely day! I know it might not seem like much, but I think that sometimes it can be the small things that matter.

I hope you are all having good days and weeks, and you will hear from me soon!

Lots of love,

September Favourites!

Yello!

Like I said in my previous post, I'm so sorry for not being around, I've just been crazily busy!

Also, my iPhoto isn't working properly so the pictures aren't actually loading, my day is getting worse!

So, as we have just started October, and looking back, I have had quite a few September faves, so I decided I would share them with you!

Firstly, is one of my previous purchases, and was featured in my Beauty Haul! It is, of course the Toni&Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray!! I am absolutely loving this product at the moment - no word of a lie!! I use it so much, even if I'm just throwing my hair up in a messy high ponytail, then it allows me to add texture and volume to that! Even when I just want to leave my hair down, whether I straighten it or let it dry naturally, just a few squirts of this and my hair is suddenly looking so much thicker!! I also still absolutely love the smell, which is a bonus! I got mine from boots and it was £7.19.

Secondly is the Maybelline Baby Lips! I also bought these in my Beauty Haul and oh my god, I cannot stop using them!! They are so moisturising on your lips, and they are such a bargain at £2.99. I have both 'Hydrate' and 'Pink Punch' and they are both amazing. I use the pink one more because I use it as an alternative to lipstick when I'm just lazing around the house. Love love love it!

Thirdly is my all time favourite lipstick. 'Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick in Ruby Tuesday.' I just absolutely love this so much, it is such a gorgeous colour, and is really pigmented so it stands out, which is something I love! It is also really smooth and moisturising, so all in all, it is just my favourite lipstick ever. You can get this from Boots for £5.99.

Right, the next one is a group of products, that I don't live without anymore. Where do you start with Soap & Glory? If I ever stay anywhere that isn't home, it all comes with me. Just aah. The smell is always so divine, and just makes me want to sit with the tub open sniffing it! I use the Flake Away scrub in the bath and it always works so well, its just amazeballs. I then moisturise using any of the moisturisers, because I have and use them all! I just generally love their stuff. I have the 'Smooch Operator' lip butter as well and I love wearing that at night. I think without a doubt they are my favourite skin-care brand, I just love it all!

So, in September when I went shopping, I bought a pair of boots that I just fell in love with. Literally. They're heeled chelsea boots in black from New Look and I wear them so much - to the extent I want another pair. I just feel like they are so classy and in fashion at the moment. I literally where them with everything, leggings, disco pants, even on a night out with dresses and a leather jacket. LOVE!

Also in September, I have discovered GRAZE boxes. The genius person who invented these is just a genius! I got a free box code thing, and decided to try it out, and they're just great. Because I'm at college alot, the snacks they send are a godsend when I'm on a short break. What is also such a great bonus, is that they are healthy snacks. You should all know that I am the unhealthiest eater ever, I always promise myself that I will be good, and then a chocolate bar starts staring at me! These are a great tasting alternative and something I will certainly continue! If you are interested, you can go to their website and find out lots more!

Okay, so next is Terry's Chocolate Orange Mini's. I'm addicted. I told you I liked unhealthy stuff, hehe!! So, in a packet you get like mini segments of chocolate orange, which are of course, the most addictive thing ever. Naughty but nice is my description!!

So the last one on my list is actually music. Specifically Tom Odell. I've become obsessed. I listen to him everywhere I go, and I find his lyrics so meaningful and personal, and just beautiful. The music is so relaxing and it just always makes me think about life. I've been in a really reflective mood lately, and this has definitely helped me!

So that is my September favourites done!! So much love in this blog post. I normally hate blog posts without pictures, and this is bugging me, so when technology decides to work again, I will add the pictures to this blog. I hope you all have a great week, and I will speak to you soon!!

Lots of love,

Beauty Haul!

Heyaaaa!

So... I went shopping! I bought lots and lots of lovely things, all of which I am going to share with you! Later this week I will show you all of the fashion things I bought, but in this post I'll focus on beauty!

So, I'm not ashamed to admit that I am an absolute nightmare when I get into a drugstore or a high-street store, I could live in either Boots or Superdrug. When I go in, I always have to limit the amount of money I spend, because within one trip I could easily bankrupt myself!! I love experimenting with different brands and different products, and because of this, I am always buying new and different products.

Toni&Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray. RRP £7.19
I bought this product for many reasons. I have read a lot about it, and lots of people have said it's really good, so I was really excited to buy it and try it at home! The idea is that you squirt it into your hair and then scrunch it, which adds texture and volume. It also smells absolutely amazing!! I'm really looking forward to using this product more and to experimenting with it!

Seventeen Wild Metallic Cream Eyeshadow in 'Wild Nude.' RRP £3.99

When I was walking around, I noticed the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadow. I liked the colours they had, but I didn't like the price tag as much! I made it my mission to walk around and to try and find an alternative, and this is what I discovered. I tried the tester out on my hand, and this was my favourite shade. I absolutely love the fact that it is obvious yet subtle, and it has a lovely texture. It's so soft, but it also stands out! I'm looking forward to trying this with other eyeshadows, and blending it with lots of colours.

Olay Beauty Fluid Non-Greasy Moisturising Fluid Sensitive. RRP £4.99

I bought this on an off chance, because they didn't have the normal moisturiser I use in stock. The first thing I can say is that I don't like the packaging they have used, though it does say that they are going to change it soon - so fingers crossed! This product also smells really nice. I hope that you don't have to use too much in one go though. I have to say, I have high hopes because I normally love Olay products, so we'll have to wait and see!

Collection Work The Colour Eyeshadow Pencil in 'Vintage Blush.' RRP £3.99

I absolutely love this colour. I think it is gorgeous!! I normally tend to wear quite natural or pastely colours on my eyes, so this is a perfect pink for me. It runs really smoothly, and the colour really compliments my skin tone (I tried some on my hand.) I think that this colour will be a really good base, and also for blending. I'm so excited to use it!!

Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm in 'Hydrate' and 'Pink Punch.' RRP £2.99

Okay, so with these two, I couldn't just buy one - how bad is that!! I just think they look really good, and I love the colour of the pink one. It is meant to have a subtle tint to it, meaning it will add some colour to my lips. I haven't tried them yet, however, I have opened the blue one, and it smells divine! I love using lip balms because I hate having dry lips, so I have high expectations for these two!

Blue Floral Make-Up Bag. RRP £5.99

Okay, so this one isn't actually from a drugstore. BUT, I know you can get them online. I absolutely love it. It's so pretty and it holds everything I need it too! Theres not much more I can say but I just had to share it!!

So thats everything I bought beauty wise, in the week I will show you all of the clothing and accessories I bought!

Lots of love,
